NZ Tours

E-Tours offers educational/study and special interest tours to destinations all around New Zealand.  Trips are specially designed to take in the best that New Zealand has to offer in scenic beauty and cultural, historical and environmental interest.  For students wanting to improve their English, the trips are designed to be as interactive as possible and come with complementary  language worksheets.

For students in Raglan or at NZ schools or colleges in Hamilton, we offer a wide choice of ½, 1 and 2 day options that can be fitted around any academic programme on weekdays or at weekends.  For groups or students on holiday looking for a complete NZ touring programme, we offer longer trips that include North and South Island destinations.

E-Tours - On the Road

All trips are professionally driver-guided.  For groups of 20+ we generally provide a driver and a guide, depending on the number of overseas adult accompaniers in the group.

Because no two groups are the same, we use a variety of vehicles - from 8 seater people carriers to 45 seater coaches.  We always carry drinks and snacks on board - some healthy and some, well, maybe not so healthy.

Overnight accommodation in our standard tours is in motels (twin and triple share).  For groups, accommodation in backpackers, lodges, motels and farmstays can be arranged to suit your needs.

Meals are not included in our standard packages, but for custom groups we are happy to provide quality meals on as part of your itinerary.

Please note that we are always happy to design a custom tour for you - in fact we love dreaming up  itineraries on request.  And if you'd like to base a trip around a particular activity, e.g. kayaking, we'll work that in for you.

Eco-Options

New Zealand has hundreds of fabulous eco-options available.  These are some of our favourites (but there are many more):

  • Pureora Forest near Taupo - Recognised as one of the finest rainforests in the world, the Pureora is where giant totara, rimu, matai, miro and kahikatea trees tower 40-60 metres, and belong to an ancient family of trees dating from the dinosaur era.
  • Maungatautari Ecological Island Trust - near Cambridge - a fascinating project to regenerate native forest and bird life by fencing out unwanted pests!  14 kms of fence to date.
  • Organic Farm Visit - we have deer & dairy as well as garlic farms we can visit - just ask for details.
  • Waimangu Valley and Kerosene Creek in Rotorua - an alternative to the main tourist trail.  Waimangu Valley is an award winning eco-tourism destination run by the Department of Conservation.  Most Kiwis haven't even been there!  Kerosene Creek, a naturally occurring "Jacuzzi" in a forest setting is one of the best kept "secrets" - totally eco and totally free!

If you are interested in one of our eco-options, please ask us for more details and we'll be very happy to come up with a programme to suit your needs.
