Our base is in Raglan, on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand. We can also arrange courses at special venues in other parts of New Zealand on request. Please ask us for more information about possible destinations.

Raglan has become one of the top destinations in New Zealand, known for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere, spectacular scenic beauty and great choice of activities (including, of course, its world famous surfing!).  Raglan is the ideal place to learn English and explore the real NZ.  The town has a permanent population of around 4,000 people which more than doubles in summer-time (Dec-March).  As well as the famous surf break, there are safe swimming beaches and a huge harbour to enjoy. The pace of life is relaxed, but the programme of activities plentiful kayaking, horse riding, surfing (of course!), bike riding, bush walking, Maori cultural activities, to mention but a few. There are also boutique shops, cafes and restaurants and a thriving arts and music scene. The local community is known for being open, friendly and welcoming. There are many community and environmental initiatives of potential interest to students. And with Hamilton just 45 minutes away, Auckland 2 hours, Rotorua 2 ½ hrs, and the ski slopes of Whakapapa at 3 hours, the major sights of the North Island are within easy reach.  Come and discover what all the fuss is about!
